I am always looking for way's to make my life easier, so when I find something that I think is helpful I like to share with other Mom's. Here are a few helpful Tips and Tricks.
Organize
* Store your sets of sheets inside one of the matching pillow cases for a neat look and it makes finding the sets so much easier!
* Clear containers keep your food fresh, easy to see whats inside and also looks so neat.
Cleaning Tips
Here are a few homemade cleaning products for People like me who have been in the middle of cleaning and realized that I forgot to pickup window cleaner or ran out of something while I was in "cleaning Mode".
These are also good for people who like NON chemical product that are safe.
- All Purpose Cleaner - club soda, 1 part White vinegar, 1 part Water. Mix in a spray bottle. OR 1/2 tsp. baking soda, a dab of liquid soap and 2 Cups of hot tap water. Both will work
- Window Cleaner - 1/2 tsp. liquid detergent, 3 Tbsp vinegar, 2 cups of water. Mix in spray bottle.
- Furniture Polish - 1/4 cup white vinegar (or 1/2 cup of lemon juice), 3/4 cup of olive oil.
- Wood floor cleaner - a few drops of dish soap, 1 gallon of water.
- Toilet bowl cleaner - Baking soda and white vinegar
Getting carpet stains out
- Most stains - Liquid tide and water
- Mud - Shaving cream
- Candle Wax - Take a damp cloth over the wax and Iron the cloth
- Nail Polish or Ink - Hair spray and a paper towel
- Gum - Peanut butter or WD40
- Coffee and tea - Soda Water
- Old Stains - 2 Tbsp detergent, 3 Tbsp vinegar and 1 qt of warm water
- Fresh stains - Baby wipes
More Tip's
*Getting Stickers off Glass - Put baby oil over the stickers and let them sit for a while, they will come right off.
* Baby Powder wipes sand right off, so add it to your beach bag!
* A lemon Wedge will get stains out of your cutting board.
* Use a tissue box or old whips container to store your plastic bags.
* A shower cap can be a great solution to packing shoes, no worries about getting anything in your suitcase dirty!
* Make bringing cupcakes to School so much easier. Cut X's in a box and make your own disposable cupcake carrier.
